Before becoming a Mother to our daughter three years ago, and then again to our son last year, I really didn't have any idea what it meant to be a Mother. The serious work that goes into caring for these babies, the seemingly endless sleepless nights, the physical exhaustion, the sacrifice that Mothers make in every area of their lives (Seriously, I never thought showering was a luxury, until I had my daughter.). Now that I've been here, on this side of it, for three years, I feel I can confidently say that Mothers are the most underappreciated people in the world. Our jobs are not easy, and our work is never done. But, I can also say, without a doubt, that being a Mother is the best job I've ever had. Nothing can compare to that smile on your babies face when yours is the only face they want to see. Nothing can compare to the first time your baby says, "Mama!" There's just nothing like the beauty and wonder we get to experience through Motherhood.
