My new favorite sweater for the season is this heart pom-pom sweater from Chicwish! Have you guys ordered from Chicwish, lately? Seems like I need everything on the site, lately! I'm obsessed with the color of this sweater, and it's such great quality, for the price. I'm also looking forward to pairing this with my pink suede skirt. A monochrome pink look would be so cute with this, don't you think? Also, I know that I said I was obsessed with hats, lately, but I'm not sure if I really conveyed the extent of my obsession. I feel the need to finish every outfit with a hat, right now. In fact, I just purchased two more! It's super cold out, so they're definitely practical, but also super cute, let's be honest. I also can't stop wearing over the knee boots, for the same exact reasons I just listed. I just love a functional and practical, yet adorable outfit!
Ross had this week off from work, so I definitely made use of a built-in baby-sitter and got a lot of my Christmas shopping done! I'm almost completely done with the shopping, so now I have a ton of things I need to gift wrap. I used to just do my gift wrapping right in the middle of my living room floor, by the tree, and spend hours getting each present just right. But, I'm not gonna lie to you guys, now that we have kids, it's definitely more of a "bag and tissue paper" style of wrapping for most things. haha Not that it's a bad way to package a gift, but I can definitely see now that it's just much easier, especially if you have tiny toddler hands that want to get into everything, and rip up wrapping paper as fast as you can get it cut. You learn a lot through having toddlers, like how you used to think Moms were lazy, and now you just KNOW what they're going through. It's not being lazy to use gift bags. It's their only option! haha I poke fun at motherhood, sometimes, but I hope you guys know it's just a little fun, and honestly, this season means so much more to me now that I have kids. I much prefer the tree that has a few less ornaments because Luke keeps taking them off and bringing them to me. I much prefer to use gift bags, instead of meticulously wrapping each present, if it means that time is instead spent with my children and husband, making precious memories together. The holidays have always been my favorite time of the year, and now, more than ever, they're the most special time with my family. Take a moment to pause this season, breathe in the scene around you. Enjoy your people. Enjoy the crazy as well as the calm.
Thanks for reading, you guys! Have a fantastic Thursday and a lovely weekend!
