Updates I'm Making to my Wardrobe this Winter

Lately, I haven't done as much shopping for myself (and my wardrobe) as I have for my kids. It's not that I don't buy myself anything (to be sure! You can ask my husband! haha), but I've been more selective in the types of things I want to purchase for myself, so far, in 2019. I've seen so many trends come and go throughout blogging, and I want to start to build a wardrobe that has more staple items that I'll use for the long-haul, and less trendy items. Don't worry, the trends will still have their place! I'm all for a trend, especially if I just honestly love the look of it.

The types of things I have been purchasing lately are: classic handbags, beautiful heels, over-the-knee boots, feminine hats, and cashmere scarves, and gloves. Of course, for me, these things will mostly be in the pastel and nude color-scheme, but the nice thing about these types of purchases, is they're pretty timeless and sophisticated, no matter what colors you choose. It recently got so cold, where we live, so I'm excited to put these winter wardobe essentials to use a little more, and remix items in my wardrobe with my new purchases. I hope you're having the most amazing week so far! Ours has been a pretty good start, getting back into the swing of things. I have some exciting things happening for the blog, and I'm ready to take you guys along for the ride! Have a lovely weekend, and thank you so much for reading!

  1. It's a great idea to add in the classics and the winter essentials. I just bought a new pair of OTK boots, because I think they are perfect for keeping me warm!!

  6. I so get you on this! Once I overfilled my wardrobe with all I could possibly need, I only started adding unique items that'd have some special meaning for me.
